Yay! It’s the last installment on alternative engagement rings, but this one is all encompassing and incredibly versatile. What’s the last possibility?  Vintage engagement rings!  You can find them in any setting, with any stone, and any cut.  You can find something seriously vintage or you can buy something new that is vintage inspired.  It’s all up to you and there’s absolutely no end to the possibilities available to you!

There are vintage engagement rings that feature white or black diamonds, topaz stones, ruby gemstones, gorgeous amethysts, sapphires in every color, and many more.  You just have to go looking for them.  Where should you go?  There are tons of places.  Secondhand shops and antique stores are both great places to start.  You may also want to check out estate sales and auctions in your area.

You can also look for vintage engagement rings online, of course.  Here, too, there are a variety of places — but make sure you’re looking at reputable places.  It’s a little too easy for sellers to promise a vintage ring, when in reality it’s anything but.  Just check out seller reviews and things like that, and you should be good!

Posh & Beautiful Double Rings

I actually had no idea what a double ring was before I started to write this post.  I was thinking that it could be a mixture of two rings together, never did I imagine it would be 1 ring that goes over two fingers!

Now that I have spent the entire afternoon looking up double rings, I have to say that they are beautiful!  Not only do double rings allow for more gemstones to be used, but these rings can pull an entire outfit together!

Yep! It’s a new week, and I’ve got some more alternatives to traditional diamond engagement rings for you!  For this week, we’re focusing on like-minded alternatives, because I know there are many women out there who may still like white stones, but don’t want to go with traditional diamonds.  You might be thinking that you don’t have any other options, but that’s not true at all.  Your answer? Sapphire engagement rings!  Sapphires are completely versatile stones, and they come in a variety of gorgeous colors, so you might find every characteristic you want by looking at rings with sapphire settings.

See, when most people think of sapphire engagement rings, they picture something with a blue stone.  Yes, sapphires are blue — or, at least, they can be.  They actually come in a variety of colors.  For instance, if you’re a fan of pink, you can find plenty of sapphire engagement rings to fit your preferences.

There are also white sapphires, however, and as you can see, they look quite a bit like diamonds.  If you really want a white stone, check out white sapphire engagement rings in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, or platinum settings.

Back in the day, every girl had at least one ankle bracelet.  When you were running around in the summer, it was a must, whether it was a yarn-based friendship bracelet or a gorgeous piece of gemstone jewelry.  Now this fashion fad is finally coming back, but this time around, it’s definitely more sophisticated.  With the holidays coming up, take note: an ankle bracelet can make the perfect piece of jewelry, whether it’s a central gift or a stocking stuffer.  It all comes down to choosing what kind you really like!

For example, you might like a more casual anklet, made of yarn or string in an interesting pattern.  You might prefer an ankle bracelet composed of yellow gold and encrusted with ruby gemstones, sapphires, diamonds or cubic zirconia, amethyst, or any other kind of gemstone.  Simple gold or silver anklets are quite pretty, too.

It call comes down to you, your preferences, what you like.  One thing is for sure, though: the time is coming where every woman needs at least one ankle bracelet to show off those pretty ankles!

In terms of popularity, animal print watches for women are definitely at the top of the list.  Animal print in general is extremely hot right now, but the trend can be a little bold or over the top for some women.  Wearing a watch that incorporates animal print, whether it’s leopard, cheetah, or zebra, is a great way to work this look into your wardrobe.  That way it’s subtle, an accessory rather than an essential wardrobe component.

I absolutely adore vintage jewelry, and vintage necklaces are my absolute favorite.  Whether you wear your retro necklace with a modern outfit or a classic ensemble from the 1920s, the 1940s, or the 1950s, you can rest assured that you’re adding glamour, sophistication, and incredible, timeless style to your attire.

But where do you find vintage necklaces?  Actually, you can find them everywhere.  The internet is full of shops that specialize in vintage finds, and ironically, eBay and Etsy often have incredibly affordable but totally authentic pieces.  I also recommend checking out your local vintage shops.

Some of the best places to find gorgeous vintage necklaces are secondhand stores, antique shops, and even flea markets.  In the latter, you can often find pieces for amazingly inexpensive prices.  Secondhand shops can be a bit more expensive, but you know you’re getting the real thing, which makes all the difference.

You can wear vintage necklaces even if you aren’t going for a retro look.  However, you can make a vintage outfit more authentic with the right pendant.  You can also add a timeless, antiquated quality to any modern outfit, so go exploring and give it a try!

As I believe I’ve said before, you don’t necessarily have to wear jewelry in the traditional places.  You can incorporate plenty of sparkle and glamour into your ensemble by looking for dazzling hair accessories for women.  There are tons of bejeweled and glamorous hair accessories out there right now, but for the moment, we’re going to focus on some of the more popular pieces: stylish bobby pins with plenty of glitz and glitter!

From a practical standpoint, bobby pins make excellent hair accessories for women because they’re versatile.  You can use them for show but they’re also really helpful in creating gorgeous hairstyles, like French twists, buns, or wispy little pinned back standpoint.

From a fashionable standpoint, bobby pins are fabulous hair accessories for women because they’re eye catching but not ostentatious.  You can tuck a jeweled bobby pin into your hair anywhere you like, and it’s not going to detract from your outfit or your makeup.

If you’re wearing a top or a dress that doesn’t lend itself well to necklaces or bracelets, then look for jewel or gemstone encrusted hair accessories for women instead!  That way, you can still add some serious glamour and glitz to your outfit!

Welcome back to this week’s stunning alternative to more traditional engagement and wedding rings!  I’ve got a stunner this week, and that’s definitely something, coming from a girl who’s not the biggest fan of gold metals.  However, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with rose gold engagement rings.  Rose gold is actually incredibly versatile, simply because you can find it in so many different tints.

For instance, there is this color, with a warm glow and mere undertones of rosiness.  It’s not too ostentatious, so the shade is ideal if you like engagement rings that just a warmer overall look.

However, do you prefer pink?  No problem!  There are actually a number of rose gold engagement rings that look more pink than gold.  You can heighten that look with the stone you choose.  Unless you’re really into pink, I don’t advocate going with, say, pink sapphire or topaz.  White diamonds look pretty with the color, however, and mixing in black diamonds creates a really edgy look.

Your best bet, however, is to look for rose gold engagement rings with a ruby setting.  The red in the stone will highlight the pinky undertones in the gold, and create a setting that is truly stunning.

Last but not least in this little series on body piercings and body jewelry, we’ve got belly button rings!  Time was, only girls had navel piercings, but now, a lot of guys choose to get them as well.  However, boys generally keep their piercings subtler.  Girls, on the other hand, have a wide array of belly button rings from which to choose.  It all comes down to what colors, styles, and shapes you like.

Honestly, there is no end to the variety.  You can get small studs or hoops, classic “door knocker” shapes, or pretty, dangling belly button rings like the dazzling stars pictured here.  There is absolutely no end to the possibilities.

Depending on your skin tone, you can look for yellow gold or silver.  With navel piercings, you really have the opportunity to wear something colorful and creative.  Hearts and stars are popular shapes, but you can even look for sparkling gemstones to decorate your piercings.

Ruby belly button rings are very popular, as are diamond or cubic zirconia, emeralds, topaz, aquamarine, amethyst, and many more.  Get different choices so you can change it up, make sure you look for something with your favorite color, and don’t be afraid to show off your cute belly button rings with low rise jeans and crop tops!

Luscious Lip Rings Create Sexy Appeal

Lip rings are one of the most popular types of body jewelry you can get right now, and not just because they make up trendy parts of both the emo and hipster cultures.  Often they’re just pretty; they’re ideal for guys and girls of all ages who want to draw attention to full and shapely lips.  I have two myself: my labret is pierced with a hoop, and then the extreme right side of my lower lip is pierced with a stud.  Some people pierce right up through their lower lip, some people get Marilyn piercings on their upper lips, some people get snakebite piercings, i.e., they pierce both the left and right sides of their lower lips, and some people do combinations.  Currently it’s also common for people to get two lip rings placed close together on either the left or right side of their lower lip.  (I am thinking of getting rid of my own labret in favor of that!)

When it comes to hoops or stud/barbells, it all depends on personal preferences.  In either case, you can find gorgeous lip rings decorated with gemstones.  Get red rubies, dark purple amethysts, or go with colored metals like blue, green, and black hematite.  It all depends on what you like best.
